Resident Summer Camp Counselors Thank you for your interest in
working at Camp Stoney this summer. We
are looking for energetic Christians who love children and youth, feel
comfortable sharing their faith, and are willing to work hard from May 18-Aug.

General Responsibilities
Every position begins with the
responsibilities of a camp counselor. Additional
responsibilities as a head counselor or lifeguard will not take priority over
our primary focus of the welfare and spiritual growth of the children and youth
in our care. Please be aware that one reference form must be filled out by a clergy person. This person must know you because either you attend their church or because you work with them in a ministry setting. At least one reference form should be filled out by a teacher, professor, or work supervisor. No references by family members or peers are acceptable. All applicants will be subject to a background check, will attend mandatory training before summer camp starts, and will sign a binding contract that will include a dress code and other rules to guide our life together over the summer. The camp is located 13 miles east of Santa Fe, New Mexico in the beautiful foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Camp Stoney has a strong tradition of providing an ecumenical camping experience. Campers’ activities include Christian Education, Christian worship, music, drama, arts and crafts, archery, ropes and challenge courses, outpost camping, swimming, rock climbing, white water rafting, and all around fun and learning. We are offer eleven youth camps, two family camps, and a special camp for children who have a parent in prison. Stoney offers resident staff a chance to work with children of different ages.
